Diisopropyl azodicarboxylate (DIAD) is an orange red transparent oily liquid, which is a preferred additive for producing light colored, odorless, and environmentally friendly PVC synthetic leather and flooring materials.

1. Low odor, high cleanliness DIAD thermal decomposition products mainly consist of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and water, with extremely low content of by-products and no irritating organic volatiles. This prevents PVC products from having odor and dyeing problems at the root, meeting the production requirements of high-end environmentally friendly products.
2. Excellent compatibility of the system. As an oil phase additive, it has good compatibility with PVC resin, ortho benzene plasticizers (DINP, DOTP), and conventional organic solvents. 3. The precise and controllable microporous structure relies on the stable gas production characteristics of thermal decomposition. 4. The foaming efficiency and stability are outstanding in the conventional PVC processing temperature range of 80-140 ℃. The gas production is large, the gas production curve is smooth, the foaming ratio is stable, and the product difference between batches is small. It is suitable for continuous mass production lines.

Key points of process usage technology
1. Mixing process: DIAD is a liquid additive. It is recommended to mix it with plasticizers before adding it to the system for stirring, which can further improve dispersion uniformity and shorten mixing time.
2. Temperature control: Strictly follow the processing range of 80-140 ℃ to avoid local short-term overheating and prevent premature decomposition of foaming agents, resulting in uneven foaming and porosity defects.
3. Foaming rate adjustment: If you need to slow down/accelerate the gas production rate, you can use a dedicated foaming regulator instead of relying solely on increasing the processing temperature for adjustment.
