The scale of China’s trade in goods ranks first globally

On July 18th, at the series of themed press conferences on “High-quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan” held by the State Council Information Office, Wang Wentao, Minister of Commerce, stated that China’s position as a major economic and trade country has been further consolidated, and remarkable achievements have been made in high-quality development. Foreign trade has withstood pressure and demonstrated resilience, with the scale of goods trade ranking first globally and the international market shares of exports and imports stabilizing at over 14% and 10% respectively. The scale of service trade ranks second globally.
